Cindy brings a unique perspective to CanCare as both a breast cancer survivor and a caregiver to her sister and mother. This dual experience allows her to understand the cancer journey from multiple angles, making her an invaluable resource for clients facing similar situations.

Cancer fundamentally changed Cindy's life priorities. While she didn't lose her interests and drive for success, they became much less important to her. The experience helped her appreciate her friends and family more deeply and highlighted the critical importance of having strong support systems during difficult times.

When asked about how CanCare impacted her life... Experiencing cancer put me in a place where I had to reprioritize my life goals and concerns. Although I did not lose interests and the drive for success in the areas I had before, they became much less important to me. I am glad to say that it changed my priorities for life. My cancer experience helped increase my ability to feel for another group of people who are faced with major challenges and encourage them that God will strengthen them through their experience.

My words to pass along to anyone facing cancer... Trust that God has bigger and better plans for you than you have for yourself. Cancer may force you to reprioritize your life, but that can be a gift. It will help you appreciate your friends and family more and understand the true importance of support. Let your experience increase your ability to feel for others facing similar challenges.
