Debbie is a long-standing CanCare volunteer and beloved member of the Prayer and Praise team. As a courageous breast cancer survivor, she brings both strength and compassion to everyone she meets.

Debbie's motivation for joining CanCare comes from her deep belief that no one should face cancer alone. Having walked through her own breast cancer journey, she understands the unique value that a survivor can bring to someone newly diagnosed or currently in treatment.

When asked about how CanCare impacted her life... I don't think anyone should face cancer alone. I needed someone who truly understood what I was going through during my own journey. Who better to accompany you than a survivor who can be a face of hope? Being able to be that person for others has given my experience meaning and purpose.

My words to pass along to anyone facing cancer... You don't have to face this alone. There are people who have walked this path before you and want to walk alongside you now. Let us be that face of hope for you—because hope is real, and healing is possible.
